Durkan Fencing Summer Camps are a challenging opportunity for fencers to broaden their skill set. We believe that a camp should be more than just access to bouting. We believe that a camp should be more than just a regurgitation of cookie cutter technical and tactical concepts. A fencer should leave a camp feeling as if they gained a whole new perspective on how to understand what is happening on the strip and how to better address their opponents. Fencers crave knowledge and experienced perspectives on high level competition. Our camps are designed to deliver technical and tactical information to any fencer looking to improve and grow. We schedule our camp day with a well balanced distribution of informational sessions and organized and productive bouting with new and challenging opponents. Does your fencer know how to prepare their body for both training and competition? Does your fencer know the critical importance of the nervous system to their success, and how to systematically train it for optimal performance? Is your fencer craving a perspective on where control over an opponent truly comes from? Our camps are not your typical camp experience.
Invite your fencer to challenge and expand their fencing world!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you, and all of your coaches, fencers, and parents. My daughter had struggled a bit last year. Her coach recommended that she attend your summer camp.
Your camp was a turning point for my daughter.
She could not stop talking about how wonderful everyone was and how incredible the experience was. She adores your coaches, admires and loves your fencers, and appreciated the hospitality and kindness of the parents. Durkan became a home away from home. My daughter made me promise to send her every summer which I will gladly do.
