“Durkan Fencing Academy has created an environment for fencers to thrive. There is a true team spirit and support system which extends from the world class fencers to the beginners. The most gratifying part for me, as the parent of a fencer, is to see how the coaches genuinely care for each and every student and how, in turn, each of the students genuinely care for each other.”
“Fencing is the first sport my son has truly enjoyed. I always had to drag him to activities before but he begs me to take him to Durkan for fencing practice!"“His time at Durkan has helped him to grow and gain confidence that will serve him beyond the fencing strip. Such experiences have helped him to achieve his goals, including becoming and Eagle Scout.”“My daughters loved the intro fencing classes and coaches! The instruction definitely prepared them for fencing in the next level of classes. The are excited to start competing in local tournaments soon.""My sons fenced at another club, but we weren't happy so we tried Durkan Fencing. They learned more in one or two intro classes at DFA than in SIX MONTHS of classes at the other club! Now they are in the Durkan Program and love the sport of fencing.""The Durkan coaches and staff members really help new parents to learn about the sport of fencing. Everything from buying your first set of equipment to attending your first tournament to applying to Colleges with fencing programs."
